An enclosed garden is a source claim, not an escape-proof guarantee. A source fetch is not a personal visit. Confirm current access, opening hours, fees and availability before travelling.
Seasonal and area restrictions
High Strawberry Gardens
High Strawberry Gardens permits up to 2 well-trained dog(s), declared and added to the booking, with no extra dog charge under the current National Trust cottage terms. The operator excludes dogs listed in its stated Dangerous Dogs Act policy. Keep dogs on the permitted living floor, off furniture and out of bedrooms and bathrooms. Never leave dogs alone in the accommodation. Clear dog waste and expect charges for damage. The two cottages are separately bookable units with different owner accommodation references, joined together and sharing a jetty and grassy garden. The original licensed points are about 10 metres apart; they are not merged solely because of proximity. The garden is unenclosed and on Lake Windermere’s shore: supervise dogs near open water. Parking is adjacent to the cottages; use the owner booking-arrival directions, not the rural postcode centroid, which is about 1.2 km away. The phone is the shared National Trust Holidays enquiry line, not a private local caretaker number. Confirm availability, current terms and arrival details when booking. The original licensed marker remains approximate, not a newly verified entrance. Nearby attraction admission is separate from cottage stay permission.
